Ah, my mistake. Meant to say backwash valve. It had a minor drip/ leak that I forgot about and froze. The handle sheered, popped and cuased chaos.

Me too. Unfortunately, my back flow valve cracked and I've got a frozen solid pool. Hopefully I drained the heater and pump in time.

Well, I "upgraded" as well and the intellicenter2 site is inop on any browser I've tried.

Interesting. Pentair sent the tech to replace a single failing valve and he replaced both with the CVA-24Ts.

Might want to ask if the demise of IntelliValves rumor is true. I’m told they are failing at an alarming rate and Pentair is replacing warrantied valves with the previous, reliable version. Both mine were swapped out today, under warranty.

I wanted to close out my experience with Pentair regarding the freeze incident. Once notified of my complaint, Pentair reached out immediately to resolve the issue. I can report that they have since agreed to my requests and I am completely satisfied with the final outcome. Sometimes it just...

I had a company blast my tile and rocks (very similar to the op <- see waterfall in avatar) and they easily removed the scale with no damage.

Got a call from Pentair today informing me they’ve received my complaint. Seems they are wanting to address the issue and indicated it’s unfortunate it wasn't handled before taking action. Progress

OTA worked here as well

My guess is this "timely" update *is* freeze related.
