Should a clean sand filter have the same pressure on backwash as it does on recirculate. I am helping friends slam, and the filter pressure is barely increasing...I am wondering if the sand is just not as effective as my DE filter? I added DE to the sand once yesterday and raised it 1 psi...

I thought I bought two bottles of proteam metal magic today..brought them home and had one of my sons go pour them in the pool for metal control...turns out the second bottle behind the first on the shelf was Phosaway. Now my pool is cloudy mess! What do I need to do now? Monkeylove

I would think there would be a real good market for someone who could figure out a skimmer plug that truly worked throughout the winter and allowed IG pools the ability to stay full throughout the winter.

I added the PMM last night and....I would say about half of my iron issue resolved. Still not where I was before, but definitely better. I think I will be adding CYA today. Do you think I should go with a another dose of PMM?
