    Louvered pergola

I spoke with the solara rep. They have two models a rolled aluminum (thinner and cheaper) vs an extruded version (thicker and stronger). Both were rated to winds of 130mph. The rep said he recommends the extruded in places with a lot of snow otherwise the rolled is fine. Without the motor...

    Aquacal - Pool Heater

I purchased an aquacal as well as a pump and some automation equipment from pool supply world about three years ago. Very easy to deal with. I had some questions and the rep I talked to was knowledgeable and helpful. So far no issues with any of it. My aquacal works great

    Louvered pergola

Does anybody have any experience with these? I'm looking for something that will let me control the amount of sun and serve as a waterproof barrier if it rains. I like that they are hurricane resistant (one is even Miami Dade certified.) http://www.theperfectpergola.com/ Thanks K

    SWG with ORP/PH automation recomendations

Sorry for the delay I've been dealing with the hurricane and aftermath (We are fine and the pool is unscathed but school and road closures are a pain) What does TFP recommend? Would that be a different sensor than ORP or a different type of system like liquid chlorine? Thanks Paul

    SWG with ORP/PH automation recomendations

Hi, So i have owned an autopilot total control system for several years. Its been rock solid for me and I have had zero problems. This was the only system that monitored PH and ORP at the time. I am getting ready to move and build a new pool and I'm wondering what the newest recommendations...

Pump speed and heat pump eficiency

Getting ready to heat my pool up for an event. I have a variable speed pump (intellispeed) and was wondering which will heat the pool up faster. 1) Using just enough flow to trip the heat pump flow meter (I'd assume the water would be heated the most but the volume of water running through the...

    Autopilot Cell replacement. Which cell??

No problemo. If its ok to ask, where did you see the rc-52 for 380?

    Replacing my SWCG -any suggestions

I have had an autopilot total control (which I upgraded from a pool pilot digital) for 5-6 years (I had the digital for a couple of years before I upgraded so total of 7-8 years with autopilot systems). Both systems were solid with few if any problems. I am good about maintaining my chemicals...

    Autopilot Cell replacement. Which cell??

Actually, if you look at autopilots faq the rc-42 should produce 300lbs of chlorine over its life while the 52 is 575lbs. Assuming no other factors to selectively decrease the lifespan of the rc-52 you get almost twice as much chlorine for a 35% increase in price. :D P

    Autopilot Cell replacement. Which cell??

I've got everything in the recommended ranges. The only issue I've had is the PH meter went out of calibration and it took awhile for me to notice so the generator was on for a lot of the winter (ORP is related to PH) which I'm sure wasn't good for the lifespan. I'd like to hear what Jason...

    Autopilot Cell replacement. Which cell??

Hi, I have a autopilot total control system which has been running great for several years now. My current cell is an SC-48 which lasted a little over 3 years and now seems to be in need of replacement (high voltage with low amps despite cleaning and a fair amount of wear on outer blades...
