Seeking suggestions to speed up SLAM

Thx! RE FC, I tend to keep keep it at or slightly above recommended SLAM levels to make sure it never falls below SLAM recommendations. I do this during SLAM in case I miss a morning/evening checking levels during SLAM giving myself reassurance level are adequate at all times of the day during...

Seeking suggestions to speed up SLAM

24 round Above ground vinyl liner, ~14k gallons, 210T Hayward and 1 hp single speed Hayward pump. I've been doing SLAM for almost 2 weeks and haven't dropped below SLAM levels or higher. In years past, I've seen more improvements in water clarity before now. There is still some debris that...

Heyward - Skimmer Net Attachment Feedback

Our pool cover constantly blows off every year so start ups usually involve leaves/debris in the pool. It would be great to have a.large net like this I could temporarily install until all/most debris.is removed. Curious of others experience with something like this. Has anyone used a skimmer...

    ABG - sand filter/pump sizing

Most of that information in the thread provided I had already read. Most of my information I found was based on some other resources I found externally and this old thread on TFP - Filter and pump size for 24x52 round pool I decided to upgrade from the 18" filter to a 24" and upgrade from a...

    ABG - sand filter/pump sizing

I need to replace my failing pump. However, before I replace the pump I want to check if the sand filter installed by previous owners on my pool is adequate. If I need to get a bigger filter then I may need a bigger pump. Based on the research I have done, I think I may need a 21-24 inch...

Chlorine - Liquid User seeking tablet advise

Under normal circumstances, that wouldn't be an issue. I'm curious what should I do to pool prior to leaving on 2.5 week vacation when no chemicals will be added when I'm gone? the second part of my question is what is "the next best" option if I cannot find a store to purchase liquid chlorine...

Chlorine - Liquid User seeking tablet advise

Ok, so really you take average daily chlorine loss multiplied by the number of vacation days. Any concerns with bringing the chlorine level so high on a vinyl pool?

Chlorine - Liquid User seeking tablet advise

Yes, I typically test at least every other day, I just don't update the app each time. Numbers haven't been fluctuating. When I test again tonight, I'll be sure to update app and can repost.

Chlorine - Liquid User seeking tablet advise

I have been using liquid chlorine for my pool, however, I am having trouble finding it in my area and think I may need to change my choice of chlorine due to supply issues. It seems like some online places have their prices severely jacked up like Amazon ($23 or more per gallon). All the...

    Cloudy Water

FC was down to 14 today, that cane down quick! It has been hot and sunny (low 90s in VA today). Hopefully be able to jump in tomorrow and get the floor cleaned up better...how frequently, under normal operation, do you typically have to add bleach? Based on slam process, I'm guessing it will...

    Cloudy Water

Never thought I'd see the day! Passed the OCLT. Current stats: Cya - 25 (working to bring this up to 40) FC - 24.5 Cc - .5 When is it safe to get into the pool? Do I need to wait until chlorine level is below 10? I'm waiting for chlorine level to drop more before raising cya. Am I in the...

    So much Bleach!

I'm in a similar situation with a pool that hadn't been opened for a couple years. I have been adding about 3 gallons of 8.25 bleach for about 3 weeks and have been seeing improvement this past week.
