Thanks MITBeta, it's definitely on my radar and am working on adjusting it. It's a little easier to adjust with some bleach and water temps finally up enough for the salt water generator to make chlorine.

Will the increased amount of acid to reduce down to 7.4 be safe to swim in or cause any other issues?

Thanks for replying Maddie. I mistakenly put ounces and meant pounds. I added 16 pounds of alkalinity increaser. Hadn't thought about the pool calc to see what it might increase it to, but will take a look. Great suggestion.

Thanks for responding. I just got back in and had the exact same thought. I did flip the toggle switch on the actuator to the other 2 settings and nothing happened. How do I remove the actuator?

ahhh that makes sense. I just saw you are in AZ. I don't know if I can do that here, while it doesn't get too cold too often, there are a few times a year it gets down into the teens.
