Hello I'm hoping i can get some help with an issue i'm having with my pool pump motor. So my 4 year old single speed motor started going out on me and i ordered a new motor from a pool website. Because i live in California they couldn't sell me a single speed replacement and instead sold me a dual speed replacement option. I just received the motor and now see that it's calling for a common wire which i don't have. I have two black wires L1 and L2 and a ground wire. I also have a Jandy Aqualink RS system, on inside of the panel it shows it can control dual speed motors after adjusting some dip switches. I haven't opened the panel to verify the dual speed relay is installed and not sure where to look for that. I'm hoping for some guidance on what to look for in my panel to verify it can handle switching between the two speeds and then also how to wire the motor as i don't have the common. I've read that connecting L1 to either high/low and L2 to common will accomplish this but want to make sure its correct before wiring everything.
Any guidance/help would be appreciated.
