Post what your pool cost you to build...

44'X17' pool + spa. 116' perimeter. ~700 sqft travertine deck. I have some upgrades... SWCG, glass waterline tiles, glass tile infinity edge spa spillover, raised walls with 3 sheer descend water feature + bubbler on the sun deck. 4 pool lights (2 in the main, 1 in spa, 1 in sun deck). I received 5 or 6 bids. $68K-$80K. I am in Katy (west of Houston), TX.

Thats a big pool for those prices - how long ago was that?

In Eastern PA i got 5 bids for ~800 sf gunite + 50 sf raised spa that included 800 sf of stamped. All bids were from 70-85K

+ retaining wall
+ shed
+ fence
+ 'sparkly glass tile' upgrade wife liked.
+ additional electric

and lets not even talk about pool furniture....

We are in the middle of a build right now in DFW (Union Park off 380). 34x18 free form with an oversized free form raised Spa, 3 water features, and paver decking all around the pool, 17000 gallons.

Cost is 63k. The quotes we received from 8 different pool companies ranged from 50k all the way up to 90k.

We got some discounts for sure. And we negotiated a lot. I think off season they might have been more flexible. The timing was not so great. Probably more weather issues (snow!) and lots of holiday delays, but it’s not like we were trying to get in anyway! We used anthony&sylvan

Thats not “cheap” to me but sounds like a good price, all things considered, for Austin. I’m meeting with A&S next week, will be interesting to see their quote. Any photos of yours you could share? Enjoy it this hot summer!

$62k in Southern New Jersey

$85K for owner build.
20x40 gunite
Paver decking
Boulder walls 12k
Granite stairs 8k
Fill dirt/sand - 5k worth.
Pool house - 6k
Fencing - 10k

Was quoted 130k from pool companies and I think my build has a lot more quality. Figure about 50K for just the gunite pool and set-up less all the decking, walls, hardscaping.
Have another 5k to finish up another retaining wall and stone firepit.

When its all done it will end up being close to 90K and I was the GC and self performed a lot of work.

Its a lot more expensive for pool builds in New England.

It is not unusual to spend 150K for a pool, decking, and landscaping in CT.

$47K in Surprise, AZ. 14'x30' ft with 7'x7' spa & 6'x8' tanning deck. 98' perimeter. 662' sq. acrylic lace decking. All Pentair equipment - Intelliflo VS Pump, 420 cartridge filter. 3-18" sheer descents.

Welcome to New England.
