CANNON BALL! That looks SO pretty! The tanning ledges will be just right if you find some low chair/loungers to go on them or if you want to just sit on them and let your legs dangle into the pool with the bubblers going........what fun!

He is not going to have a clue what you do or do not do to the water with his *interest* in details LOL

Color doesn't look bad at all considering it's basically unbalanced tap water at this time. One of my favorites on here is watching the color change after start up, hand off from the PB and following the TFP way. Now I'm interesting in what your PB has in store for you on Monday.

If you want algae come on down to the Treasure Coast, we've got plenty from the Lake O discharges. There might be a big surge of pool building in the next year if the river, estuary and beaches continue to be fouled up.

Yesterday I added some Muriatic Acid yesterday based on Pool Math and got PH down from 8.2 to 7.5 this morning's reading.

Also have been adding the Chlorine from 4 dissolving Trichlor pucks in a bucket of water.
Last add was at end of day and I stirred it up good by swimming, splashing and stirring with a broom.
But morning reading for TC is still .5

I'm ready & excited for tomorrow's start up. Hope they show up early.

I love your method of stirring it up! Well done!

Hoping for early pool school  lets see if he can do it again!

I stirred it up again this evening after planting the last 10 Ixora (3 have died already out of 25).
Kim it was your idea to use the broom. :stirpot:

I'm ready for them whomever they send. Could be the PB himself or Employee(s) or possibly both. What I'd like to see is a Professional Startup company if there is such a thing.

Color looks blue today so no Algae yet.
I'll report on PB start-up as soon as I can after they hand it over to me.

I wouldn't hesitate to sneak a little bleach in there for 1-2 ppm FC :) Glad you're mixing everything up well :)

I continued to add the chlorine mix from the trichlor but with so little CYA in the pool the Chlorine is quickly gone in the full sun.
I'll check it in the morning again. The PB should be adding liquid chlorine as well as filling the chlorinator with pucks.

PB himself was here from 4:30 to 6. He just left. Pumps are running. Everything works but pumps shut off in 10 minutes Says Egg Timer so will read the manual while I have dinner.

Put in about 2.5 gallons of liquid Chlorine and 3 pucks. Also 8 lbs of stabilizer and 4 gallons of acid. Says he wants PH 6 now then to keep it at 7 for a few weeks.

More later and pictures in the morning.

Note: Speeds 3 and 4 have egg timer default of 10 minutes that can be changed.
So I put pump on speed 2 which is 1500 rpm and it stays on manual.

25 gallons of chlorine, WOW, just WOW. Just wondering is that a typo?

That's 145 to 210 ppm FC (8.25% and 12.5% respectively)

In very round numbers, pH 5.6. You don't have to concern yourself with testing for a few days, though at least the chlorine will burn off quick from the sunshine.

And the OK number is 64 ppm CYA. Let those 3 pucks dissolve (safer to leave the inline chlorinator closed), but don't put any more pucks in. Switch to bleach until you have the SWG.

Oh OK, phew!! I shoulda asked that right away, lol. So 21 ppm FC probably. Not a worry.

The pH is still too low for swimming. Check it out and wait until you see 7.2 on your test before swimming.
