Obviously, everybody knows that salt water will not freeze like freshwater, but I'm wondering with the small amount of salt in a swimming pool, does it have any effect at all on helping pipes from freezing? I keep around 3000 ppm in my pool and where I live temps will get down to single digits sometimes. Of course I'm going to keep my pool open, and I have a variable speed pump that will keep the water moving, I was just curious if the salt water offers any protection at such a small level.
