White buildup above water line

The above pictures show a white haze wax chalk like material above the water line on my Master Spa. Someone suggested Bromine salt buildup as i do use Bromine tablets. It is not rough feeling as suggested with Calcium buildup or scales. When wet it almost completely disappears. I have tried many cleaning products to remove white material from the walls but no luck. Has anyone seen this problem and have a solution to remove material?

Welcome to TFP!

Post some test results. The at will help determine idpf it is scale or not. You can also scrape some off, put it on a plate and add a few drops of muriatic acid. If it fizzes up then it is calcium scale.

My bet is that it is calcium scale due to high pH. Lowering your TA down to 50 and keeping your pH at 7.6-7.8 will prevent scale.

There is good info on TA and pH management in this article. How do I use Chlorine in my Spa (or pool)?
