My pool company is coming to close my pool on Monday. I’ve been running between 7.8 and 8.0 ph for a while. Should I lower the ph prior to them coming to close the pool or is it not necessary? I also don’t want to lower it too much that it effects the alkalinity as the alkalinity is in a good spot I think at 70ppm. Maybe just a few drops of MA to bring the ph down just a little bit? What do you think?

Thanks!

With vinly it won't change unless you have a mesh cover, then Ph will probably drop over time because rain has a Ph in the 5s.

Anywho, it's fine where it is.

I do have a mesh loop loc cover.
Ok then you'll want to start on the high side like you are because it will drop over the winter. We'll see between 2 to 3 ft of rain and melted snow depending on the season and exactly how long you are closed. Some go 9 months closed here and many go 8.

I try to be open for 8 months because we like looking at it. Lol.
