So tested water two days ago, it looked a bit cloudy but they weren’t too bad. Increased my swg run time and added a gallon of 6% bleach.
Yesterday wife found a dead baby mole inside our robot.
Today pool is very cloudy and chemicals are all out of whack.
heading to store to get some shock.
What happened to my beautiful clear pool in two days time?

I'm not sure what happened, but the big thing is no chlorine. The rest of the numbers look fine.

Turn off the SWG, buy a bunch of liquid and begin the SLAM. The earlier and harder you hit it, the better and faster it goes.

Fo the SLAM it is a chlorine pool, so your SLAM target is 20. Get it there with liquid and hold it there.

I feel your pain. A dead bird hidden in my skimmer resulted in a similar problem (link in my sig if you want to review).

Cleaning my filter after I was mid SLAM was a big help in my situation. My oversized filter was where I found algae hiding when the pool itself was crystal clear

I had a CYA of 80...expect large FC losses due to sunlight in the day when you are up at your SLAM target. I was freaking out but learned that is normal. Focus on how your FC looks with the OCLT

Good luck

Glad you caught that Mdragger88

All the numbers have dropped. Do you have an autofill on the pool? If so, there may be a leak that is getting autofilled and causing all those numbers to drop.
Nope. No auto fill, but I have added some water. But none in past 2 days. And level hasn't dropped.

Pollen has in an incremental effect, like an increasing sun angle or more swimmers. The pool is cloudy, you need to SLAM Process. FC got to low and algae took hold. It’s pretty straightforward. Don’t overthink other factors too much. Liquid chlorine is your tool.

Just redid my tests. Pool is clearing up. I’m gonna run my waterfalls to flush them for an hour and then shut them off again and then backwash my filter.

Just remember to follow the SLAM to it’s conclusion per the instructions or I can predict a cloudy (pool) weather in your future. And yes, you did overshoot a bit on FC. Hit SLAM level and repeat.

It wasn’t supposed to go that high. Sometimes I question poolmath. 5 gallons should have only raised it to 17ish. Maybe I’ll redo my test.
