What do you do with MA after cleaning cell

We were cleaning our salt cell last weekend with diluted acid. I know it's not advised but we couldn't reach the calcium deposits to scrape off. After it was done I didn't know what to do with the acid. I didn't think it was good to put in the pool since it had just cleaned off calcium so I dumped it in the rocks and doused it with the hose. Just wondering what to do with it next time.

Either way is fine really. It's a small amount of acid (and calcium) and any effects are negligible.

I dumped mine in the grass. No need to flood the yard, but soak it for a minute wherever it got dumped.

Full strength MA has a pH of about -1. Diluted 1:10 (as usually used for cleaning a SWG cell) the pH will be about 0. I usually poor the diluted acid afterwards into a bucket of water which will give another 1:10 dilution, bringing the pH up to about 1. That is similar to the pH of some toilet bowl cleaners/descalers (which often simply is diluted MA) - draw your own conclusions from that...

Is the the vortex considered aeration ? Cuz it kinda sorta is. A rather violent surface disturbance at that.......

Just toss it on the ground, it’s fine. Sand and soil is loaded with carbonate minerals and clay, the soil will neutralize it quickly.
