My pool was operational in May 2018, and for the first time ever, I will have drained off more water this year than I've dumped into it.
In July alone, my weather station has recorded 11.99" of rain, and since I opened the pool in May of this year, 19.48" of total rain. However, the power was off a couple of days this year during rain storms, so 19.48" is low.
The actual amount of rain at my house this month alone is nearly 15", according to my neighbor and his tube rain gauge.
Even with all the rain, my chemical numbers have been pretty steady, pH being the one that is varying the most.
Due to my location on a hill and no windbreaks, I usually dump a couple of inches of well water into the pool every week or so to compensate for evaporation.
Shall see how the rest of the year goes. I close in early to mid-October, typically.
