How's it going guys, I have a quick question on how to vacuum. My plan was to hook up the hose to vacuum then the other end of hose to outlet of pool . What should I put my filter setting on? I was thinking to put it on filter or backwash but if I put on backwash I will loose a lot of water. I have a 14" sand filter and 2220 gph pump. Any details on this subject would be great. Thank you

What do you mean by "outlet of pool"? Are you connecting to your skimmer or a dedicated suction port in the pool wall?
Never vacuum on Backwash. Always vacuum on either Filter (dirt goes in filter) or Waste if you have it (dirt skips filter and goes out waste pipe).

Your pool's only a week old. You can't have enough debris to need to vacuum to waste. Let the filter catch whatever.
A tip: get a good whirlpool going -- kids running around the edge inside -- and most all the fine debris will end up in the center. Then you just vacuum it up .
