Hello from Tucson, AZ.
Great forum you guys have here, i've been lurking around reading pool build threads for a few days. I've lived in AZ for about 15years now, and finally decided to join the cool crowd and get a pool. I've had pool companies out in the past to give estimates, but never pulled the trigger.
I thought it would be a fun project to do an owner build. I have a few contractor buddies that will help me with the subs. I want to build my own house someday and thought a pool build would be a good, or bad, first hand experience with subs, inspectors, building plans and patience.
We live on an acre lot, the back half is fenced and habitable, the front is natural desert with a nice wash running thru it. Built a 2nd patio a few years ago off the garage, with the future plan of doing a pool up next to it.
Anyway thanks again, look forward to asking lots of questions, doing a lot of reading and sharing my experience.
