Thoughts on this Solar Salt?

Probably should have asked this question before I dumped a 100 pounds of the stuff in my pool... Found this stuff at Lowes for $3.00 per 50 pound bag, which was way cheaper than the $7.50 per bag "Pool" super special nuclear atomic 10000% pure salt they sell in the pool section. I actually don't care, and will be okay... just figured I'd post it up because I was done maintaining the pool and bored.

I always use solar salt from the hardware stores ... although I have not seen that brand. As long as it was near 100% salt with no additives, should be fine.

If it’s crystal salt it should work great and that’s a great deal.

Best price I found was at H-E-B our grocery store here in Texas.

Its 50lbs as well but $4.50 a bag. Still cheaper than the rest that are only 40lbs.

They sell two others brands, including Morton salt by the water softeners. This stuff was stored by lumber section and looks like it had been on the pallet for quite a few years. I'm guessing the sales people never recommend these old dingy bags, so it never really sells. I was happy to take some of it off their hands.
