Had an ongoing saga of pool equipment breaking this year and dealing with green algae while waiting for equipment to arrive.
Finally have the pool mostly trouble free but have been chasing PH constantly. I came to search the forum and was reminded - I knew this last year but forgot - when my water jet gets uncovered from water evaporation and splashing, it causes aeration and pumps up the PH.
With the salt water clorinator and 100 degree temps here in South Texas I'm running the filter for 10 hours a day so no wonder the pH is high.
So off to put more water the in the pool and add more PH down as I didn't get Muriatic Acid yet.
It's always something new to learn or relearn here at TFP and I'm glad I found this website years ago when we started our pool journey.
