OK. I try a different method each year when it gets too cold to swim. This year I just shut everything off and left the pool uncovered. Turned dark green. Expected. I've been dipping leaves out and I THINK the deep end is okish.
The problem is we had an extreme wind storm a couple of weeks ago and some very heavy storage racks were blown into the deep end.

Rack
But larger and heavier. Blew over and then across into the deep end. No idea how it happened, just a tremendous wind storm. So now two of those are in the deep end (10.5 feet) and can't see anything. If I could get in the pool I could get them upright and out, no problem. But you cant see an inch under the surface. Pic below.
Only thing I can think of is the drain down to the first step, get as much debris out and fill it. And repeat to get the green diluted. Then slam like usual. No idea if main drain is clogged. I have a couple of sump pumps I could get going to lower the water level below the skimmer.
Any ideas?
