Hi, first time here. My robot stopped working. I cleaned propeller. Next I check DC at maytronic ps all good. BUT, I'm not sure I'm checking continuity correct at cable end out of robot. Do I have this set correct? Do I have to use black prong opposite red prong when checking? Sorry for the hopefully easy questions

Turn the dial to here
It will beep if you have continuity- touch the two leads together to confirm this

The cable should be unplugged from the power supply
One lead goes to 1 end & the other lead goes to the same terminal on the opposite end of the cable
It doesn’t matter which one is red or black

Thank you! I'm guessing there's a short? Following what you said, and not knowing what prong end belongs to the other prong end of cable ..I fixed one multimeter probe on a prong and on the other end of cable I used the other probe going between prongs (3) ...I had readings (continuity) on 2 out of 3

I don’t think you should be getting continuity on 2 out of three pins as you described.
Is this a swivel cable? If so take it apart and troubleshoot both parts of the cable in the same way for continuity on each terminal.
