Summary: Pool went 1 week without pump and still crystal clear.
Details:
on Monday September 10, 2018 I came home to realize my 1HP SuperPump had not been running for the past day or so. Upon further investigation I determined that the pump was dead, and was excited to replace it with a newer, quieter, 2-speed pump. I resigned myself to the time it would take to order the pump, install it, etc.
I covered the pool with the solar cover, dropped in my submersible electric pump I use for the winter cover, and brought the FC levels to SLAM. Hoping that the small amount of circulation would help.
A week later I have a new 2-speed 1.4HP pump plumbed in, and recirculating my still beautiful crystal clear pool.
I challenge the non TFPC people to do that!
