test results after 10 day vacation

Before vacation: pool was crystal clear, I brought FC up to SLAM level for CYA 60, turned pump off, covered pool.

Returned last night to find clear pool with small amount of tree debris. Rain 0.9 inches in gauge. Temp was in 80s while we were away.

Test results this am 7/23 after running pump all night:

FC 7.5
CC 0
pH 7.7 (between 7.5-7.8)
ALK 200
CYA 55 (I got 50, spouse got 60)

Should I SLAM pool since nothing was done for 10 days?

If your pool passes the three "Done with SLAM" criteria, then no:

You are done when:

• CC is 0.5 or lower;
• You pass an OCLT (ie overnight FC loss test shows a loss of 1.0 ppm or less);
• And the water is clear.

Run a OCLT to play it safe.

You should be fine. You are at the bottom of your FC target for your CYA (Always round up to the next 10 on CYA, so we call yours 60). Bump it up to 9ppm and you can run an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test if you wish, but you should be good to go!

I see no reason to SLAM. Your FC never dipped below minimum
