Hello everyone,

Weird issue here, new above ground pool. Been in operation about 3 weeks now, details in signature.

Link to my Pool Math data: PoolMath Logs

I reached a higher pH and added some Muriatic Acid yesterday, after which my TA raised from 80/90 to 110. Then today I was still high on pH (added less Muriatic Acid than recommended to be safe) so I added more Muriatic Acid. Now I am at 130 TA.

My understanding was that TA is suppose to go down with Muriatic Acid?

I am using this Muriatic Acid (Hydrogen Chloride 31.45%) from Home Depot: HDX 1 Gal. Muriatic Acid Balancer (2-Pack) 10031HDX - The Home Depot

Testing Error:
Clean your vial with rubbing alcohol, dry it.
Hold the reagent vertical.
Allow the drops to form and drop under their own weight.
Use a wet cloth to wipe the R-0009, it can get a static charge.
Keep adding drops until the color no longer changes. Subtract that drop.
Test again. Take your time.
