I just noticed on my Hayward SWG that my salt level was at 2600 so it was in low salt error. So I added a few bags of salt, however, I'm leaving for vacation in the morning so I can't wait 24 hours. Can I just leave the SWG on? Will the error clear and start working?

How did you add the salt and is it fully dissolved? Have you tried turning on the unit? It should reset after 3 hours.

For future reference, I would not use the SWG readout to actually determine when to add salt. If the unit says the salt level is low, it could be due to several factors:

- Salt is actually low
- Cell is dirty
- Cell is failing

I would always confirm that the salt level is actually low with another test method before adding salt or you could overshoot the salt level and when you clean the cell or replace the cell, the salt level is now too high.
