My pool is a year and 3 months old and about 2 months ago I started noticing some white lines that looked like cracks in my plaster. I called the pool builder and he tells me this happens with concrete pools. Since there is no water loss he says it is not structural and not covered by the shell warranty. He says the white is calcium leeching out of a small surface crack and the only way to get rid of it is to drain the pool and clean it and epoxy it. The cracks are unsightly but not real obvious when the water is moving. Is this something I need to be worried about? What can I do to make them less obvious if they are not worth fixing? If I do need to worry about them what needs to be done?
