Hello everyone. I joined back in September while getting a new liner installed in my pool because I wanted to learn how to care for it on my own. Just about the time I got everything operating correctly, it got cold outside and the leaves in my forest of a yard prompted me to cover it up. In the meantime, other factors led me to the conclusion that this house no longer met my needs, and I've been searching for the right one for a few months. I found a house last week and now have it under contract, and I love everything about it, but it doesn't have a pool. There's plenty of room and the land is pretty level back there, and one of my first projects will be having a pool installed. I live in Pelham, Alabama, about 20 miles south of Birmingham, and I've had bad experiences with the few local pool companies I've had dealings with. I'm hoping somebody here can recommend a contractor to me instead of relying on reviews off company websites or Google, etc. I just don't know where to go and could really use honest input from somebody who has used a company around here recently. We live just south of you in Calera and Mr. Pool out of Montgomery did ours. They were easy and friendly to work with, did the job in 6 weeks and were quick to help with the one or two small quirks that came up. They may be a little pricier than others but to me, well worth it. Several people we know have used them and they all had a great experience.
