I don't have my pool yet "waiting on permits" but am going down the rabbit hole of automatic pool cleaners and saw this Aiper SG pro on sale today. Is this a good buy considering the price point?
It’s a very inexpensive cleaner. I never liked the idea of charging batteries every day so I prefer the corded models. It’s about half the price of robots.

I've had mine for about 2.5yrs now. The first lasted about 8 months before it had to be replaced by aiper for water intrusion. The second has been bullet proof. I would buy it again especially that cheap.

You might wait a bit. By the time your pool is done the warranty for the robot may be almost expired before you even have a chance to use it.

True - plus with aiper the longer you wait the cheaper ot gets lol - I beleive the sg pro was ~1100 on release ~700 when I bought it and ~350 now 🤯

Wait. There’s no need to rush.

Also, I highly recommend that you make sure your pool has an independent suction port like how it would be designed if you used a suction side vacuum. It can be added now to the design and it shouldn’t cost all that much extra (it’s just some extra PVC pipes and a valve) . Every pool, EVERY POOL, should have the ability to run a manual vacuum head without having to plug one into the skimmer. Robots and cleaners are great but they break and manual vacuuming is sometimes quicker and easier than rolling out the robot. It’s certainly your call, but I have always appreciated being able to manually clean my pool even when using robots or suction cleaners.
