Solutions for Yellowing of plastics

Somehow, on my YouTube journey, I stumbled upon this gem

Maybe some folks won’t have to live with their yellowed jet eye balls & such anymore! I know it’s been a conundrum for many & usually the answer is replacing the item but that isn’t always an option.

The simplest and safest technique I know of is to put some Vitamin C tablets in a sock and rub down the yellowed plastic. Vitamin C won't contaminate your pool water. It works for mineral staining only.

Some of the things in his testing were definitely a bust & not something u would want in your pool but the most effective ones were all forms of peroxide- if u can get the offending part off & soak it, it’s probably worth trying.
I doubt he has metal stains on his Macintosh so the majority of the discoloration is probably due to age & temp fluctuations. It was interesting to see the results.
