Hi there so I'm in New Jersey and I am just now covering my pool because I had surgery. So I brought a bunch of new winner pool tubes to hold my cover down. Any ideas on how I keep them water bags from getting disgustingly dirty and slimy so that I don't have to scrub them to death when I open the pool. Every year I buy new ones so I don't have to scrub them clean. Any ideas at all would be very helpful I've thought about covering them with plastic

It's no different than leaving a pool float on the patio for 8 months. It's going to be gross.

I helped enough friends with their bags over the years that I'd never use them. They're a pain to drain, and they pop. Next time buy Aqua blocks.

A product like Wet and Forget can help prevent mold and mildew.

Another option is to mix some distilled water and 3% hydrogen peroxide at about 2 to 4 parts distilled water to 1 part H2O2 in a spray bottle and then spray the tubes with the solution periodically.

Maybe get a pump sprayer.

Also, use a leaf blower to clear away leaves and debris that can trap moisture.

Periodically hose the tubes to clean off dirt that does not blow away with a blower.

Periodically flip the tubes over to clean both sides.

Note that any cleaner products can possibly stain concrete and other surfaces, so you should be aware of the possibility and be on the lookout for signs of staining.

Do at your own risk.
