Screenlogic Wirelesss Kit Troubleshooting - Solved

A lightning strike fried my EasyTouch Board and the Outdoor Transceiver a couple weeks ago. I replaced the board right away and it works as before.

I just got the High Power Wireless kit I ordered and swapped out the indoor and outdoor transceivers (the protocol adapter seemed to be fine). Once installed, I get a power light on both ends, and the indoor TX and outdoor RX light will blink in sync. However, no activity whatsoever from the indoor RX or outdoor TX lights. I can connect to the protocol adapter through the app, but have no data from the EasyTouch and no ability to control it.

Spoke with Pentair tech support today, but they couldn't identify the problem. She said they were having some issues with remote access to Screenlogic on their end, and once that was resolved, it might fix my issue. I'm skeptical. Seems like the communication (lights) between the indoor and outdoor transceivers should work regardless of what is going on with the Screenlogic software.

I've reset the protocol adapter (one and three-press method), reset the outdoor antenna with the button on the circuit board, first double-checked the com cable connections and this morning replaced the com cable with the new one that came with the kit, confirmed that the IDs on each end match, replaced the battery in the EasyTouch board, and done complete power down/reboots (including my router) at different points along the way.

I also brought the indoor transceiver outside at one point and powered everything up (not connected to the protocol adapter) so I could watch the lights on both ends simultaneously, but there was still no change. The TX light on the outdoor antenna never lights at any point. My thought was that if distance was the problem, the two pieces would be able to sync regardless of the protocol adapter.

I'm out of ideas. Is there anything else I should try, or does the complete lack of data transmission from the outdoor antenna leave only a hardware problem with the new equipment? It was purchased on eBay, but still sealed in the original packaging, so wasn't expecting to have an issue.

Thanks!

Edit to add: The original equipment did not appear to be the High Power version. The new outdoor antenna has an ethernet port that allows it to connect to an Intellitouch system. The dead one did not have that. Pentair tech said there should not be a compatibility issue from that though, which was also my understanding when I ordered it.

While I did replace the COM cable running from the outdoor antenna to the EasyTouch, I was using the same four-pin connector at the EasyTouch motherboard that had been there when storm happened. Apparently, it was also damaged by the surge. The wiring was correct and tight, but as soon as I swapped in a new connector everything fired up and connected properly.
