Retrofit Railings?

Hello,

My B-i-L just had back surgery and may need to use my pool for therapy but I don't know if he can get up and down the stairs without a handhold. Besides, the wife and I are both old enough to benefit from one now. How would one be retrofitted to the steps of an IG fiberglass pool? Do they need to bolt to the floor/steps or is there some kind of underwater epoxy that can be used?

This is what we use

I ended up ordering Saftron stuff, it's good for salt pools albeit a bit pricey. One CBRTD-354 rail and two SB-F retrofit deck mounts in taupe color to match our Sundeck. Less than $500 and I can install it myself...

Thanks again!

OK, need some advice on placement! Here's a diagram of our pool, I drew in where I'd like to place it based on space. Putting it in the "bulge" keeps it out of the walkway and still gives good access to the stairs. Think this will work and not look tacky?

BTW, what's up with the TFP pool app? I tried it and it seems pretty much non-functional. Is there a thread on it somewhere?

Took about 30 minutes after running out to rent a hammer drill, my poor little 18V Makita wouldn't make a dent. One thing to beware of - the factory spec sheet dimensions are given as 8" between centers on the legs. Mine were 8 1/4", so definitely check first before drilling!
