I'm about to replace my liner. Should I just drain the pool and leave it closed until the new liner and water is in or should I "open" it and then drain the water. I'm Worried about just shutting it off for 5 days with no water flow without it being sealed up and everything. Or is that not something I should worry about?

Can you wait until just a couple of days before the replacement and then drain?

If so, that would be my suggestion. If you need to do it sooner, I can't think of a serious drawback but I believe I would like to do both jobs close together.

I would make no attempt to "open" the pool until my new water and liner was in.

Perfect. That's what I'm doing then. Cover off, leave everything sealed up until new water and liner are in. The draining is so they can start the process, so this is as tight as I can make it. Should be about 5 days they said so it'll sit "closed" with no water in it until for that period of time.
