Repairing a Hayward Ecostar Variable speed pump SP3400VSP

My sp3400vsp is starting to make bearing noises. I am planning on replacing the motor then rebuilding the old one as a spare. Are any special tools required for moving the motor or replacing the seals?
Pump is 4 years old, runs 9 hours per day.
