Pump Replacement Advice

Good morning!

I'm looking to get some advice on a pump replacement.

I've currently got an old Pentair Challenger 2HP (240V) that is extremely loud and I'm looking to replace it. It's driving my filter and Paramount PCC2000 in floor cleaner. There is no way for me to bypass the cleaner as is - all return water goes through its distribution module or the fixed in floor heads in the deep end only.

Some options I'm considering:

1. Hayward Tristar VS950 - 2.7 THP
2. Pentair Whisperflo VST 011533 - 2.6 THP
3. Pentair Intelliflo3 VSF 011075 - 3.0 THP

So far I've found the Whisperflo would be about $1800 with a self install, the Hayward $2400 professionally installed, and the Intelliflo $2800 professionally installed.

According to Paramount, my system is going to require 65 GPM at either 70 or 80 feet of head (I've found conflicting info on this), which all the pumps should meet. The Intelliflo seems like it would give me the best chance at running at a lower speed but I'm unsure if that will end up being true, or if it would be the worth the upfront cost.

Is anyone using one of these pumps with a setup like this or otherwise able to offer any advice?

Thank you!

I have had a good experience with my Pentair Intelliflow VSP so that's what I would recommend. Mine has saved me about $30 each month on electricity over the single speed Hayward Super Pump I had before. There are Calimar VSP options that others here recommend and while cheaper they might do the job for you if your pool is only filtered for part of the year and closed for the remainder.
