OK, so really learned something on testing - I must have read it 100 times however the advice of outside, back turned, with the 30 sec of shaking is critical - Two Questions now that I know it was user error on my previous test;
1. Using liquid chlorine this year so what is the proper CYA level and regardless of the proper level will liquid chlorine just be a every day add -
2. When reading my level today at 30 black dot was very faint at 25 ( mid way between 20 -30 on tube ) it was gone - Is all the way gone at 25 the proper completion of the test or at 30 where is was very faint - My wife could not see it, I could barely make out the black dot
thanks

For your questions:
1 - Yes. A pool eats everyday just like we do. But its diet is all about chlorine.
2 - You want the dot completely gone. It sounds as though you are just a tiny bit low. You might increase the CYA by about 10 ppm. If this is an outdoor pool under blistering AZ sun most of the day, you'll soon want a CYA of 50. But play that by ear as you chose. Just make sure to always keep the FC and CYA balanced together as noted on the FC/CYA Levels.
