Probably old news, but new trick for me!

I always hated cleaning the cartridge filters, I don’t know why; just a PITA, but after seeing all the ads for those spinning filter rigs I thought hmm.
Dropped by Walmart and got an $8 lazy Susan from the kitchen aisle and to my surprise, it actually works pretty good! If it gets spinning too fast it will tip, but you can work around the sides so much easier!
Don’t kill me if this is an old trick I’m just learning haha.

Newish to cartridge filters. Last fall was my first cleaning. While it was fine, I too have been bombarded by the on-line posts for the Cyclone. I've pre-shopped, and when it gets closer to cleaning time, will build one based on a lazy susan like you use. The refinements: build a base out of 1" PVC using a 5-way "furniture" connector - so four legs as a base, one verticle. Over the vertical place an old 5 gal. pail upside down, with a hole in the bottom for the pipe to pass through. This will elevate the cart and save my back. Either get a lazy susan as you did - but put a 1" hole in it to go over the pipe, or build up one from Home Depot lazy susan bearing and wood disks. Slip that over the pipe, so it sits on the bucket. Add the cart, and spray/spin away.
If needed, a slightly tapered wood block, with 1" hole, to go on top, to keep the cart centered on the post. If I don't use glue, it should all disassemble for storage, in the bucket, for use in future years. Will post after the build and test run...

I never heard of the Cyclone so I googled it. It seems useful but $400 for that?

My issue was my back - just a bit too much hunching over as it rested on the ground. I ended up using an old lawn furniture side table to raise them up. So having a spinner seemed like the next step in the progression. But for $400, my back could take it....besides, I already spent the big bucks for the "Filter Flosser", so didn't need their sprayer in addition...

I have 2 wands that are basically pressure washer attachments for the hose. The same focused fan spray, but without too much force to risk damage. *and* the length is appreciated for the lower parts.

Turbo jet / Hydro jet is the name brand one, the other one I have was for watering hanging plants and just so happens to use a fan spray with a head that bends 90 degrees.

I set mine on a metal bar stool that's already at the poolside bar.
