Hello, new-ish pool owner!
We had about 1 month the last season and had the closing serviced. Today we just successfully opened (DIY!). No algae, water is clear - so all good on that front.

Noticed the pump is not priming well and looks like there are leaks
- on the outlet port from the pump
- along the braided PVC both on the pump and the inlet to the DE filter

Pump: Hayward Super Pump w3sp2607x10 https://hayward.com/media/akeneo_co...uperII_MaxFlo_Operation_Installation_609f.pdf
Looks like the PVC port/pipe has gone brittle. If i adjust/tighten it a bit - it holds the prime for several minutes until it moves again.

Do you have recommendations for what to buy? The local Leslie's store is always staffed by someone who doesn't know anything.
I'm not quite sure what search terms to use.

The current one seems to use
1. Hayward SPX1105Z3 Smooth Combination Elbow
- https://www.amazon.com/Hayward-SPX1105Z3-Combination-Replacement-Suction/dp/B004VTGNUM
2. braided PVC 1.5in internal diameter

But what do I call the thing that connect the elbow to the pump? Any recommendations for it?

This seems to have been recommended in anotherthread -- but I'm not sure if this is correct and I see there is a warning on durability:

Thank you!

It may just need to have it retighten. Remove the metal hose clamp and remove the plastic hose. A new one can be purchased at Home Depot - just ensure it is rated for pressure.
Unscrew the PVC fitting from the pump. Check the threads and also if there is a rubber gasket seal. Lube it real well and reassemble.
