First, what a great site!

I am in the process of getting some estimates for a new pool (14×28), deck (700 sq ft) and screen enclosure. The estimates we've been getting are in the upper 40s. Anyone recently built a pool for under 40k? If so, who was the PB?

In 2008 we built a pool with Tampa Bay Pools for 37k including a screen enlosure. We did the acrylic deck and our pool was also 14x28. That was 10 years ago so I am sure prices will be higher. Right now we are building with the same company and have more upgrades with this pool including pavers, water features, a spill over spa, ect and our cost this time is 58k. I did get a quote from two other companies (Challenger and Riviera) and one was 3k more and the other was 8k more so Tampa Bay Pools seems to be one of the more affordable ones and they offer a lifetime warranty on the shell of the pool and the pebble tec.

Hi,
We just joined the site... we started interviewing pool builders in the Tampa area. We are in Odessa, in the Asturia neighborhood. I have to ask... who are you getting bids from in the $40s??? We havent seen anyone come in under $60k and we dont even want a screen enclosure. I would be really happy with anything under $50k. Please PM me if you dont want to list names here...

I am building in Orlando right now, we are doing something similar Pool = 14x33 free form (370sq.ft.), Deck = 770 sq. ft., screen encloser, pebble finish, and raised beam with 3 sheer descents; our contract came in at $50,000. We had the same issue as a majority of the quotes were in the mid $60s. I would think the upper $40s is probably reasonable.

Can I ask who you got the 50k quote from? I am in Lake Mary and just starting to get quotes. I just got one for 12×29 356 sq ft (I have a narrow yard) and 786 sq ft deck for 37,400. Pebble tech 1400 so 39k. No spa and no screen. We want to see if we can manage without a screen. I have seen many without a screen be fine, but can add later.

Well I am wrapping up an owner/builder pool, 15x30 at about 525sq feet with 1100sq feet of travertine decking and a screen enclosure. All high end finishes and equipment and an LP tank being installed. I’ll be in the mid 80’s when all is said and done. Ugh.
