Pollen or Mustard Algae

How do I know if this is pollen or mustard algae in my filter sock? I just got done slamming the pool a week ago to mustard algae level and now I’m doing my weekly slam, but wondering if I need to bring it back up to mustard algae levels again? FC is currently 16. TA 150, pH 7.2; CYA 40.Mustard algae

Mustard algae presents itself as a yellowish/greenish powder that "poofs" away when brushed. It tends to live on the pool floor and shady side of the pool walls.

You would not see it in the sock you are using.

Thanks! Didn’t get past thinking of initial MA Shock, but interesting to learn there are also minimum MA levels I can consider when I eventually get back to normal maintenance. One other question about MA: Do I have to vacuum it to waste so it doesn’t keep growing? I think that’s required with...
