Polaris question- shooting water

812F37A4-3719-487B-B0D4-8D677320263A.jpegAt times my robot is moving really slow and at times it’s moving really fast. When it was going slow I pulled it up and noticed this part was shooting water. When it stopped I dropped it back in and it went fast. Should water be shooting from here ?
 
That's the "backup valve" -- it has a mechanical timer inside. Every 5 minutes or so, it's supposed to divert water out of there for 30 seconds or so and pull the Polaris up off the floor and back over to a new area.
