Wondering if someone might advise best way to plumb a new Hayward Max-Flo VSP to an existing EC65A filter? Pics attached for reference.

Current config utilizes the common pump/filter mounting base and a close coupled elbow SPX1485B between the two. On the filter side of the elbow it connects to a union ball end SPX1485A. The new pump includes a 2"x1.5" slip union and I need to determine how to transition 1.5" pipe to the filter. I realize I may have to mount the new pump off the base somewhere. I will likely add some large 24x24" level paver blocks to this existing location.
