I have a PF-100 sand filter, but the Hayward SP0715 multi-port valve attached to it is getting long in the tooth so I ordered a new one. This raised 2 questions.
1. The specs for the filters are the same, except for flow rate which is 125 GPM on mine and 75 GPM on the new one. The specs for the filter are 100 GPM. Should I be concerned? Not sure if my Intellifo VS 3HP will flow that high.
2. It looks like the old valve may have been specifically sold for the PF-100 since it looks like the fittings to connect to the filter came pre-installed. Neither Hayward or Pentair have any knowledge about the screw fittings to connect to the filter ports. I have not been to a pool store yet. Has anyone successfully changed valves on a PF-100? From the manual I have (thanks to another TFP poster) the filter was discontinued in 1993, but it is still going strong for me.
Bill.
