Pentair Kreepy Krauly Prowler 920 getting stuck on drains

Hello all! I am a new pool owner, with a 18x36 PebbleSheen, salt-water pool. The pool company provided a Pentair Kreepy Krauly Prowler 920 with the pool. The cleaner works great, except that it gets stuck on the raised drain covers in the deep end. I have to pull on the cord to get it off, then it continues its cleaning program. So, I can't leave it to do its thing...constantly having to check to see if it's stuck is getting old.

Anyone have a similar issue with a robotic cleaner?? Any recommended fixes?

I never took mine out of the box from 5 years ago. Vacuum manually. My neighbor purchased these main drain wrap around covers (sturdy) so any robot does not damage or get stuck. I have no idea what they are called and they are probably a PIA to put on and take off and one must be careful not to damage the liner.
