Trying to figure out what this part is called. He said the initial chemical balancing they do is hard on the salt cell so there's some kind of temporary pipe they put in it's place during balancing. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I know that for my Intellichlor, the owner's manual says to shut it off when adding any chemicals. I'm not very good about doing that though! Rarely do I remember to shut it when I'm adding acid, or even chlorine (which I almost never have had to add). And, right now the pool is closed and frozen over!

It’s officially called “IntelliChlor Spacer Cell”. I own one -

So you can call it a “SPELL”....

Maybe call it the advanced water transportation tubular conduit module with integrated colocated threaded union assemblies for use during cell negative applications.
