Hey folks, I'm Tim. I live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, 8b. 8000 gal intex above ground pool

Test scores:
Fc : 35
Ph : 8.2
Ta : 80
Ch : 500
Cya : 35

Pool is reasonably clear with just a bit of green on one end.


I thought the pool math app would tell me what and how much to add.

Can someone kinda handhold me through this a bit?

Can you confirm which test kit you're using?

Always round-up CYA to the next multiple of 10. That makes yours 40 ppm.

Did you use a FAS/DPD test kit for the FC result (reagent #s R-0870/0871)?

If you're seeing visible signs of algae, you need to complete the SLAM Process.

Maintain SLAM FC level of 16 ppm based on CYA level of 40 (FC/CYA Levels). Lots of brushing. Clean filter when pressure increases by 25%.
