New to anything pools/spa related

Hello Guys,

I am getting a new pool/spa built in my backyard in the Northern VA area and just signed the contract with my pool builder this week. I am new to pools and have a lot to learn, I am glad to have found this forum and have already used it a bit to help make decisions on the type of plaster to go with in addition to learning about cleaning, pool covers, etc. I hope to both learn and contribute where I can over time! See you guys in the forums!

Pool Details:

18'x39' Gunite rectangle pool with auto cover
8x12' tanning ledge
Plaster = SGM Diamond Brite - Steel Blue
Spa = 8x8

Get yourself a build thread going in the under construction subforum. The more eyes on your porject, the better it will be. I was about as well prepared as anyone could be for my 2nd build and it was crazy how many little things I missed while frying bigger fish. Or how many big issues I missed while fighting over even bigger issues.
