New pool owner & New to the Group

Hi, My name is Kari, I live in Buda Tx, I call it the "other side of the hill country" located about 12 mi. Out of Austin Tx. We have recently completed our pool by the GRACE OF GOD due to our pool builder abandoning the JOB after the Gunnite was sprayed leaving us with a 6ft muddy hole and stealing close to 54,000.00 our money. We decided to finish it ourselves with the help of many great friends & contacts I've made along my journey is this beautiful world we live in. You may see our completed pool product yet still a work in progress attached in my photos.

Btw, so sorry to hear of your troubles w/ the builder. Sadly, you are not alone & there have been many casualties in the “pool boom” as of late.

Beautiful pool! Sadly, some pool "installers" here in SC many times are not very good. South Carolina doesn't require any type of special license or credentials to become a pool installer. I worked for a local municipality as a plan reviewer and I would often steer people away from those "less than reputable" pool hacks. There are many here that are good and do great job, but I always encouraged people to check references and go look at their work!
