New pool owner from Northern Indiana.

Hi from HOT and Humid N. Indiana! We had our pool built in August of 17' so we had about 4-5 good weeks of swimming last year but been using it about every day this year!!!! Been doing a lot of looking here before I joined, from what I've read the members here know what's goining on when it comes to pools. I plan on getting a Good test kit, Taylor seems to be the favorite. My numbers as of yesterday, I took a sample to the company that built my pool. I've had the generator bumped a bit due to the heat and more swimmers.

Welcome to the TFP pool! :splash:

Beautiful pool. It's nice to have folks show up with a pretty blue pool that just needs to be kept that way

Order a TF100 test kit as it uses the Taylor reagents, but is customized to have more of the stuff a homeowner uses and less of what we use less often. The only other real option for a test kit is a Taylor K-2006-C. Be careful comparing prices because the K-2006 comes in sizes, designated by a letter. The basic K-2006 has .75oz bottles. You need to get the K-2006-C to get the larger bottles that you want. Even then it is a little short on the reagent & powder for the FAS/DPD test.

Please don't go to the pool store for a test kit. To effectively practice the TFPC methods, the FAS/DPD chlorine test is essential. The TF100 test kit and the K-2006 have this test while very few other kits do. The kits sold at the pool store generally won't won't cut it, but be careful pool store employees are known to say “it's the same thing”. Generally it's not!
