I just started my pool up after 3 days of filling after new plaster. I have a digital PH reader and also took my water in for reading. My ph is reading 10.38 and TA was 100. I was told to add 24lbs of PH reducer. I added 8 lbs and it took it down to 10.10, I did add another 8 lbs tonight and hoping tomorrow it is lower. Question is, should I be using liquid acid instead of dry acid. I am not new to pools, but my first re plaster. I have a 25-27000 gallon pool. Any help would be great and want my new plaster to last 30 years like the last was.

YES. Use muriatic acid. Dry acid adds sulfates, which at high enough levels, can damage plaster and metals.
What startup guide are you using, you should follow it closely to maximize the life of the plaster. Did you get a guide from the plasterer? What plaster was used?

Thanks so much and have read the guide and will get liquid acid today to adjust levels. I live in a small town and not many plaster pools.
