NEW Dolophin Nautilus CC.. returning.

I bought this on Amazon $695. Tried it today and its being returned. Won't climb my stairs. It tries the first step and then backs down. It will lcimb the walls vertically but it seems to take a few tries, the main problem is the angled walls at the deep end, it keeps sliding down.
My old Aquabot had not none of these issues.
What will I try next?

You might try a Dolphin s200/Pentair Prowler 920 or equivalent. The Nautilus CC looks like it only has a single brush, while these have 2. Note that the sunplay.com list of equivalent cleaners says a Nautilus is the same as s200, but it's not. Same for the Proteus DX3.

Then again, from my 2 weeks with Prowler 920 and other comments on this board, it seems these only do steps "by accident". Mine also slides sometimes, but eventually gets the pool clean. Sometimes it takes a 2nd run.

If your old cleaner worked so well, why change?

Thanks. The aquabot motor died of old age. The cord cover had holes from age and wear. 7 years. It’s done.

Are you sure the walls aren't just filmed over from the winter? Robots don't climb walls well if there's slime on them.

All clean it is climbing vertically just not on the angles at the deep end. It slashing down
